Certificate 111 in Early Childhood Education and Care

My name is Monique Sibson and I have just recently moved to Nebo to live with my partner. I came from a small country town called Collinsville. I grew up on a cattle station about an hour out side of Collinsville. My main hobby is campdrafting. I love the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
I completed my certificate lll in Children’s Services in 2014. I have taught dancing to children aged 2-8years old, volunteered at a range of childcare centres, worked as the Special Needs Educator at the Collinsville Community Kindergarten, worked as the Special Needs Educator at Scottville State School and just recently finished working as a School Officer/Pre-Prep teacher at Saint John Bosco Catholic School.
Kids in the Bush Family Daycare will be operated by myself and registered with Bowen/Collinsville Family Daycare.
To me, I believe the first 5 years of a child’s life has a major impact on the rest of their life. I believe all children deserve an environment where they feel safe, secure and comfortable whilst away from their parent/s. I feel as though it’s important for children to be able to express their own beliefs, emotions and ideas freely.
I chose to work in an educational setting because I strive to make a difference and to provide an environment where all children have the opportunity to reach their full protentional.
As they say ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ and I would love to be apart of that village for your child. I will provide your child/ren with enthusiasm, fun, excitement, a loving/caring heart and a positive, passionate attitude. I feel that each child has their own unique personality and I will encourage your child/ren to develop this in a safe, warm and welcoming environment.
Hours will be based on your family’s needs.

I believe the early years are the most important years in one’s life.  I feel as an educator it is our role not to purely educate children but assist them and guide them through to become the individual they strive to be.  We should aim to create inviting and stimulating environments that all can feel they belong to.  I feel being in the moment and extending on one’s interests will help harvest the necessary qualities for the individuals at hand.  Respect for diversity with others and the environment is a key attribute necessary to embed and promote.  I believe a family daycare should not be a house but a home where children can live, laugh and learn in a loving and nurturing surrounding.
