As an Educator, I Believe each child is an individual with their own: - Interests, abilities, skills, strengths.
As your child’s educator, my role is to teach in a way that brings out the best outcomes for your child.
I will provide opportunities for them to explore and unleash their imagination, as I believe children learn best through play-based activities.
My classroom will be a space where your child can grow in an environment that feels safe, secure, and supported.
I am committed to achieving this by following the Early Years Learning Framework in accordance with the regulations set by Early Childhood Education and Care Services.
Certificate 111 Children's Services
I believe the environment plays a major role in the success of an early childhood program. It should enhance the children's interests in all development domains.
I believe learning in an early childhood environment is done most successfully through play, both structured and free, than can be visited, explored and revisited again and again.
I will provide opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine.
The environment should take into consideration the social skills, communication skills, physical abilities or challenges.
I believe in cultural diversity. I will celebrate the benefit of diversity with each individual child and enable them to understand and acknowledge differences.
Children need the assurance of being loved and cared for while they are enjoying an educational environment.
Educating children is my passion.
Security and trust are very important components as well, of my relationship with children and their families.

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
I’d like to begin by acknowledging the traditional owners of the land which we learn and play; the Ngaro people of the Whitsunday islands and coastal areas.
My name is Renee. I have been an educator since 2018. I have lived on the Gold Coast for the past three years working in a childcare setting. I am excited to move into a family day care environment as I believe it creates a more intimate connection with the children and families I work with. As an educator, I value connection with both families and children, and believe this is crucial in children’s development. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, I think of the children’s learning environment as a third teacher. I enjoy creating indoor and outdoor learning environments that foster the children’s independence, interests, curiosity and play. I believe children learn best through play as they are able to explore trial and error. Environments in my classroom invite children to a variety of concepts such as self regulation, arts and craft, building, science, dramatic play, reading, gross motor and fine motor etc.
I believe each child is an individual and deserves to be seen and cared for as needed. Our flexible routine reflects this value as it is built around the childrens needs and individual goals. Inspired by Montessori values, I believe all children are capable learners and should be given the freedom to choose their own learning experiences. Within our routine, children are given uninterrupted blocks of learning time to fully immerse themselves in their play.
Inspired by Waldorf learning style, I believe the children can gain stability in having a consistent routine throughout their day. As this develops, the children are able to lead themselves and their peers through the routine and gain independence. As an educator, I highly value independence with the children. I believe they are capable of so much and this reflects in their ability to guide themselves during play and learning.
