Bachelor of Education
Every child is unique regarding life experience, developmental readiness, and cultural heritage. Therefore, partnerships between families and ACorns Early Learning is essential to the optimal growth and development of our young children.
I aim to provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment that accommodates and embraces differences. My goal is to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of every child.
I believe in the integration of learning and play, as children learn best by doing. I strive for a balance between educator-directed and child-initiated activities, providing the foundation of a developmentally appropriate early childhood education program. Given opportunities to explore the world around them, young children become curious, active, and involved learners. ACorns Early Learning becomes a place where children can be successful and discover that learning is fun.

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
I’ve been working with children for 10 years, both in early childhood settings and in home-based care environments. I’m excited to start in a family daycare setting where I can focus on teaching and creating meaningful relationships with families and children. I value open communication with families and see them as partners in their child’s learning and growth. Together, we create routines, shared values and a strong sense of community.
Over the years, I’ve come to truly value the importance of creating a calm, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, respected and seen for who they are and who they’re becoming.
I believe that every child is unique, capable and full of potential. My role as an educator is to guide, support and respond to their individual needs, looking at the developmental areas of the child.
I view children as active learners who grow through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships which is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. I believe in following their interests, listening to their voices and encouraging their independence at their own pace. I will provide opportunities for children to explore art, fine and gross motor, reading, building, sensory activities and supporting cognitive and emotional development.
I aim to create a learning environment that balances structure with flexibility. I encourage children to make choices, build independence, take responsibility and feel proud of their progress. I offer experiences that are developmentally appropriate, open-ended and rich in opportunities for problem-solving and exploration.
Through careful observations and ongoing assessment, I tailor experiences that support each child’s growth and wellbeing, emotionally, physically, socially, and cognitively.
Through intentional teaching and strong relationships, I aim to provide a solid foundation for each child’s lifelong learning journey. I am committed to providing a warm, inclusive and meaningful learning environment where children feel empowered to learn and grow each day.
