Ayr Educator

Since 2015

Certificate 111 Children's Services

I have been in Family Day Care since 2002.

I believe children learn through play and hands on experience. Children should do activities that interest them, that are fun in a secure environment.

All children are unique and all have different needs. I will set up activities that promote cognitive, social, fundamental and physical skills that will develop positive self-esteem and confidence.

I believe children need freedom to learn, they need encouragement from peers and caregivers.

So as a child care worker, I will acknowledge children?s efforts & help them reach the next stage of their development.

Children?s interests need to be opened up and explored.

I know families are a very important part of children?s lives and I know how stressful it can be leaving your little ones so I welcome all families to communicate with me and discuss any issue you may have at all times.

I will endeavour to make sure all children in my care have their needs met, and feel safe in our family?s home environment.

I will give every child the care, love and respect they deserve

Ayr Educator

Since 2019

Currently studying Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

I have been working in the Childcare industry since April 2017, I started out as an OSHC educator, then an assistant and then a Lead Educator and now onto Family Day Care, working with all age groups. When I was a child, I attended Family Day Care here in Ayr and I have nothing but wonderful memories and life-long friends. This is why I strive so hard to reach for the same outcome with my Day Care children and families. I have an absolute passion for working with children and nothing excites me more then to watch them learn and grow. My learning environment gives the children the opportunity to explore freely while building relationships, Social skills, developing self- confidence and gaining everyday life skills. I offer a range of activities that are a mix of intentionally planned and spontaneous. By doing this, I am able to extend off the children’s interest and help them explore it more while learning through play. Being a child can sometimes be very confusing, frustrating and emotional, learning all new things all the time. This is why I believe that all children should be loved and nurtured and shown empathy and respect. Ultimately when the children leave at the end of the day with a smile on their face’s I know I have done my job right and I have made them feel safe, secured and supported!
